Julie Barrientes, M.S., CCC-SLP

CEO/Owner and Chief Speech-Language Pathologist

Julie received her Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Florida in 1998, followed by her Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of South Florida in 2000.  She has 20+ years of experience in evaluation and treatment of communication and swallowing-related conditions across the life-span. In addition, she became a certified Parkinson's Wellness Recovery Fitness Instructor in 2016. 

 

Julie knows first-hand the challenges that come with physical, communication, and swallowing disorders.  She has life-long personal experience with a voice disorder due to approximately 40 surgeries for laryngeal papilloma, and has undergone 4 brain surgeries for Chiari Malformation and Craniocervical instability since 2010. Julie draws from her personal and patient experiences to develop holistic treatment plans and wellness classes for patients and members of the community.
